In 2008, Clovely Estate was the proud winner of the 2008 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards for New Investment. This year, Clovely is equally proud to be a sponsor of the Lord Mayor’s initiative in recognising inspiring individuals and innovative businesses.
But what does a regional winery have to do with Brisbane business development?
The answer lies in strong city-country connections. Brett Heading, Clovely’s Chairman, is based in the city however his heart lies in the South Burnett Valley where his family has farmed for 100 years. Recognising that the South Burnett shared many of the same growing conditions as the Hunter Valley, he diversified and the first Clovely Estate vines were planted at Moffatdale in 1997.
Since that time, the vineyard has expanded to cover over 175 hectares and produces some of Queensland’s finest wines. Clovely Estate wines have been enjoyed and recognised by discerning wine lovers and judges alike.
And to complete the circle, Clovely Estate Wines has brought its award winning wines back to the city. We hope you will join us at our award-winning City Cellar Door in Red Hill (210 Musgrave Road) to sample our range of fine crafted wines and celebrate our exceptional city of Brisbane.
